Paul NICKLEN

Paul NICKLEN is a Canadian photographer and marine biologist specializing in the polar regions and their wildlife. He has documented the beauty and plight of our planet for over twenty years. His photographs relate the power of polar animals in the face of the fragility of their habitats. They therefore allow spectators to question the fate of our planet.

Paul NICKLEN combines the eyes of the biologist with that of the artist. From ice floes to killer whales and penguins, he photographs everything that comes his way. Polar creatures and landscapes are then captured in vivid color photographs. These exhilarating colors contrast with the scientific precision of his work.
