Douglas KIRKLAND has photographed Movie Stars in several occasions. First of all, for the newspapers: LOOK magazine then LIFE magazine. During the sixties, it is also on stage, during film making, that Douglas KIRKLAND captured icons of the 7th art. This part of his work became bigger from 1974. He and his wife moved to Los Angeles. Then, he worked for some film companies. In his photos, Douglas KIRKLAND manage to build a parallel narration, referring to the movie and evoking another story in which each can fall.
