Éric HOUDOYER
Éric HOUDOYER is a French photographer specialized in street photography. He photographs a very Parisian daily life, where passers-by and customers of the capital’s brasseries become motifs he works on. Often anonymity predominates. You only see a hand, a silhouette or a figure hidden under a hat. In this game of cat and mouse, Éric HOUDOYER succeeds brilliantly in spotting gestures, which he sublimates thanks to acute compositions and a clever use of the urban elements’ geometry. The treatment of shadows and lights allow to sketch a universe without faces. In this detective story, it’s up to the viewer to investigate and spot signs of everyday scenes.
