Douglas KIRKLAND
Douglas KIRKLAND (1934-2022) is a Canadian photographer living in USA. Renowned portraitist, he has photographed celebrities and models since the 1950s. Douglas KIRKLAND has worked together with different magazines, including Look and Life, for which he also realized more photojournalistic projects, during assignments in Greece, Japan and Lebanon for instance. Movie stars has met Douglas KIRKLAND’s lens both in photo studios and on stages. Actually, this famous photographer has participated in many movie shootings. A double career, which has made Douglas KIRKLAND work, a tremendous documenting contribution about American cinema of the last 50 years. He explored cinema world through an all personal aesthetic, which we can now discover.
