In this series of photographs, Stefano Cerio explores Chinese civilization through his places of leisure. No human presence is visible in these images. The places seem empty and deserted. However, the flow of visitors thronging these spaces every day is suggested. The contrast between absence and presence is therefore striking and questions the emptiness of these places.
