Bears, whether polar or grizzly, have been the subject of numerous photographs by Paul NICKLEN. Grizzly bears, which are very present in Canada, the artist’s region, have a special place in his work. The power of these animals is transcribed in each of his images. However, the work on polar bears has another dimension, since it also aims to raise awareness of global warming. The beauty of these animals is then contrasted by the fragility of their habitats.
