Stéphane AISENBERG (1968-) is a French photographer specialized in wildlife photography. His black and white photos can be compared to portraits. It is by getting as closely as possible to the animal, that Stéphane AISENBERG achieve to convey the dignity and the strength emanating from wild beasts. Thanks to this process, and the care given to the look, his subjects are tinged with humanity… The notion of alterity is central in Stéphane AISENBERG’s work. Other one is shown by its face. The relationship the viewer establish allows him to overtake the general idea he had about other one. Stéphane AISENBERG’s commitment for others extends with sales of photos. The collected funds are redistributed to charities of environmental protection, animal protection and to support the education of the most deprived.
