Arktos
The Arktos series was taken by Kyriakos KAZIRAS during his last trips in the Great North. The word Arktos means Bear in Greek, it has given the word Arctic by reference to the Ursa Major Constellation (also called Great Bear). Ursa Major is visible in its wholeness only from the northern hemisphere. Kyriakos KAZIRAS photographic journey around the Polar circle allowed him to capture impressive images of the most emblematic animal of these areas, mirroring both signification of Arktos. For this new series of photos Kyriakos renewed his vision, changing his images compositions. Nevertherless, we can still observe the style making his success, in peculiar through the deep interest in mimics, he achieves in this way to convey altogether feelings of tenderness and majesty.
