Coco CHANEL
July 1962, Douglas KIRKLAND was just 27 years old. He was in Paris for LOOK magazine, in order to make a story on Coco CHANEL. When they met for the first time, the ‘Grande Dame’ almost ignored him. Redoubling is efforts, Douglas KIRKLAND succeeded in winning the trust of Mademoiselle, it opened the doors of her workshop of fashion design. Thanks to that, he documented during three weeks the intimacy of one of the most famous fashion designer in the world.
