Stephen WILKES (1957-) is one of the most important photographer of his generation. His sets of photos investigate various facets of the world. Most of the time bound to human being, they share the ability to modify our perception of our environment. The photos of Stephen WILKES appear in prestigious collections, such as the ones of the George Eastman Museum and of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. Stephen WILKES is also the darling of photo magazines and photo competitions, winning numerous awards. This is partly due to the use of digital photography he has developed, as his series ‘Day to Night shows it, and due to the overall quality of his work.
