Eric MARRIAN was born in 1959.
He started his career as an architect.
In 2000, he decided to come back to his first love: photography.
In 2003, he starts a series on Saint-Malo, which he still works on. He, then, begins his studio work medium and large formats.
Things go quite fast afterwards: he wins the BIEVRES Award for Photography; he is published in many specialized magazines for photography and has his first Solo Show at the Salon des Artistes Français.
In 2005, he starts the CARRE BLANC (White Square) series. With the first images, he wins the European Nude Photography Festival Award in Arles in 2006
The Saint-Malo series gets, also, recognition with the Leica Procirep Award.
The CARRE BLANC series is exhibited in France and abroad (ERA Foundation in Moscow, Venice’s Mostra, les 3 jours de Drouot, Maison Européenne de la Photographie…).
