Aldrin descends the lunar module Eagle's ladder, his foot poised above the surface of the moon. Aldrin, famously, is the "second man on the moon," after Neil Armstrong, who took this picture after he himself set foot on the lunar surface and uttered the words: "One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind."
